Laurence is the author of a collection of poetry, Local Bird (2015); a collection of aphorisms, One Kind of Recording (2017); and a collection of Buddhist dialogues in verse, The Bluebonnet Sutras (2019), and A Stranger’s Heart (2023); all from Lamar University Literary Press.
In addition to poetry, Laurence writes articles about teaching college English with a focus on student attitudes toward writing, reading literature, drawing-to-learn, and the Buddhist wisdom tradition in teaching and learning.
